We know that Cathay is on the map because they've literally shown us the map. We know that at least one of Chaos Daemons and Ogre Kingdoms are NOT there at game release, but we can be almost certain that both of them are coming as campaign packs/race packs fairly soon after release (assuming neither is the pre-order, which I hope to be the case).Īll of this presents us with a bunch of logisitical issues. 9 is Be'lakor leading Undivided Deamons of Chaos but that's a detail). We know that there are 9 Legendary Lords from Kislev, Cathay, and several flavours of Chaos (I personally believe that LL no. We know it's huge - "roughly twice the size of the Eye of the Vortex map". Onwards to what we know about the actual map and contents of Warhammer 3.
Secondly, and arguably more worryingly, this chunk of map seems to have its right edge visible on screen (not especially obvious on this screenshot and I couldn't be bothered taking a screen of the actual trailer for this but there's a double line at "Celestial Riverlands"). First of all, the Great Bastion appears to run top-to-bottom on the map, not side-to-side as would be expected for an East-West barrier. There are two things about this map that appear to be ever so slightly "off".
So we've all been looking at this map in the trailer for a while, and I thought I'd dive into it in a bit more detail.
